disappointment.In 2 Corinthians 1:8 Paul writes: “…we were so utterly, unbearably crushed that we despaired of life itself.” Yet, under great pressure, seemingly without the ability to endure any more he continues, “… so that we would not rely on ourselves but on God….” .
Cancer is more than you can handle – and rejection, and infidelity and prodigal children. So is care giving, death, loss, grief and, I’m thinking, 101 other life struggles.
Hear it again: “… so that we would not rely on ourselves but on God….” Good News! God doesn’t expect YOU to handle it. God expects you to hand it over to GOD. God beckons for your burdens, God’s response to your prayer is, “Cast your cares upon Me…”
You will never know relief until you do.
