DeacPost “All For Me”

“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” 1 John 4:9

I was blind, and I couldn’t see your face;
Then you filled my heart with light
With your love and grace.
I was crippled, I was too weak to stand
Then you gave me your strength
And in your nail-scarred hands
I see you did it all for me.
There was nothing I could do to bring myself to you,
You did it all for me.
Without you I was lost, but you endured the cross,
You did it all for me.

I was dying, and I couldn’t find the cure;
Then you filled my life with hope,
Your love cast out all fear.
I was ashamed of the things I had done;
Then you took all my sins,
And you forgave each one.
And yes, you did it all for me.
There was nothing I could do to bring myself to you,
You did it all for me.
Without you I was lost, but you endured the cross,
You did it all for me.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, how do I begin to say “Thank you” for all you have done for me. It is impossible for me to understand how you can love me even more than your own life. Thank you for loving me, for taking care of me, and for being with me always. Amen.
